Welcome to the Grade Calculator tool! This handy online calculator helps you determine your average grade based on various assignments, their weights, and the grading system you prefer.
How to Use
Select Grade Type: Begin by choosing your preferred grading system from the dropdown menu. You have three options: Percentage, Letters, and Points.
Add Assignments: Fill in the table with your assignment details. Each assignment includes:
- Assignment Name: Enter a descriptive name for the assignment.
- Grade: Depending on your selected grade type, you’ll provide either a percentage, a letter grade, or points.
- Weight (%): Assign a weight to the assignment as a percentage. This indicates how much each assignment contributes to your overall grade.
Calculate: Once you’ve added your assignments, click the “Calculate” button. Our Grade Calculator will process the data and display your average grade and numeric score.
Grade Types
Percentage: Use this option if your grades are given in percentages (e.g., 90%, 75%, etc.).
Letters: Select this option for letter-based grading (e.g., A+, B-, C, etc.). The tool will convert your letter grades into numeric values.
Points: If your assignments are graded in points (e.g., 95 out of 100), choose this option.
Results
After clicking “Calculate,” you’ll see the following results:
Average Grade: This is your overall average grade based on the assignments and their weights.
Numeric Score: The numeric score reflects your average score, which can be useful for different grading systems.
Add or Remove Assignments
Feel free to add or remove assignments as needed using the “Add Row” and “Delete” buttons. The tool will dynamically adjust the calculations.
Grade Conversion
Our Grade Calculator automatically converts letter grades to numeric values using the following scale:
- A+: 4.33
- A: 4.0
- A-: 3.67
- B+: 3.33
- B: 3.0
- B-: 2.67
- C+: 2.33
- C: 2.0
- C-: 1.67
- D+: 1.33
- D: 1.0
- D-: 0.67
- F: 0.0
